Step 2: Hosting Selection
Web site Hosting
Hosting is where your Web site lives. It’s basically what server your website resides on and where everyone who types in your web address ends up. There are two ways to handle hosting:
Option 1: I host your site
If you would like to go the cheapest and hassle-free way, I will be glad to host your website for you. I have already purchased a lot of server space and am more than happy to host your site. I charge $60/year. That’s it.
Option 2: You host your site
If you want to host your own site I will need your server IP address, website folder, a mysql database, and account login and passwords to both. Your server needs to support .php.
Option 3: I set up your hosting account for you
If you would like your own hosting account set up for you with a third provider, I’ll be happy to set that up for you. Cost to set that up is $50. This will mean that your site has server space to itself. This gives you the greatest control of your site.
